Introducing Mouris Ghipriel (Owner)
Mouris Culinary Skills Many years ago in a small Greek coastal village, during the Greco-Turkey War, people in town fled to the heel area of Italy, a safe haven for their families. As time went by, their language changed so much, that neither the Italians or the Greeks, could understand them. It became a language only the migrants could understand. The reason for this brief paragraph becomes evident below. Mouris Ghipriel, proprietor of Duke’s Steakhouse, is an ancestor of one of these families that migrated to Italy. Mouris learned his culinary skills as a young man traveling to Europe. He then came to the U.S. and settled in New Jersey. He helped several restaurants that had financial problems, become successful businesses by using culinary skills in their kitchens. He then moved to Florida to the Orlando area. Among his accomplishments he created, The Big Apple Restaurant, Tips Restaurant, Little Italy, Texas House of Beef and Mouris’ Italian Grille. These businesses are still there and thriving. Now Mouris has come to Duke’s Steakhouse, hoping that his culinary talents and experience will please all the wonderful people he has met in Hemet. Excellent food, a full bar, high quality service with a smile, music to dance to or listen, separate ambience dining rooms, several TV’s in the sports bar, are among some of the pleasures you can enjoy at Duke’s. That’s only the beginning. As valued friends and customers, you will be informed of upcoming events.
